Why should I become a Fab?
This is the trend of next generation of manufacturing.  There will be more and more distributed manufacturers worldwide and they don't have to be overseas.  They can be right here in your country.  Most Fab owners are small business.  They are the core of the distributed manufacturing network.   They are the service providers for all 3D manufacturing services including 3D printing services and related services such as CNC.
I already registered.  How do I list my Fab?
After you registered as a user, you can use "Contact us" to send a note to XYZFABS asking for Fab listing privilege.  Make sure provide supporting information for below criterias:
    * Must have at least 50 hours of printing experience.  Evidences can be recent job/reviews you received from your customers.
    * Must have a good standing in service history.
My Fab is enabled.  How can I make the Fab profile better?
After your Fab is enabled by admin, you should now be able to edit your Fab profile.  Clicking your account avatar and you will see the Fab profile menu button.  Clicking it will lead to the editing page of your Fab profile.  Below are mandatory entries in the profile:
    * Name -- Your Fab name
    * About -- Describe your Fab as much detals as possible, including your printers, materials, lead time, shipping supported or not.  
    * Status -- You can disable your Fab by unchecking here.  However only Admin can re-enable it.
    * Main photo -- ideally width to height ratio should be 3:1
    * Photos -- they are required to make a perfect show page for your Fab.  Ideally width to height ration should be a square.
    * Services -- pick the services your Fab will offer.
    * Materials -- pick the materials your Fab can print; if the material is not listed there, please "Contact us" to add it in.
    * Address/City/State/Country/Zipcode -- are needed to help search your Fab based on location
After you saved your Fab, you should be able to find your fab in "Find 3D Service Fab".  
Benefits as a listed Fab?
A listed Fab is verified as a professional 3D service provider.  We carefully evaluate the application and we require at least 50 hours of proven 3D service experience.
As a registered Fab, you can receive service orders from customers.  This site does not charge any fees on your transactions so this alone can save you money, making the service possibly more affordable to customers.  
As 3D manufacturing Fab, we know Fab consumes a lot of materials.  As such each Fab will receive 25% off discount codes of name brand materials.  We will negotiate more and more of such discounts for our Fab owners.
Do I need a registered business to become a Fab?
It is recommended but you don't have to.  You must have the dedication to maintain good standing of your work.
Do I need to pay to list my Fab?
Listing Fab here is free.   We do not charge any transaction fees too.  You have nothing to lose.
How are disputes between Fabs and customers handled?
Fabs and customers shall sign business contract for the service requested.  NDA etc. are also recommended before starting the service.  XYZFABS does not get involved in the contract execution and transaction between Fab and customer.  When dispute happens, we will help communication and help resolve dispute.  Customers can always leave honest review and rating for the transactions happened.  The review and rating do have big impact on Fabs.  In order to have better chance to get future service orders, Fabs must maintain good standing in reviews and ratings.
As a Fab owner, what are things important to keep our Fab in good status?
Customer reviews/ratings are the most important thing to keep good Fab status.  Just like regular business practice, when a customer contacts Fab, the Fab shall reply to the message in a timely manner.  A delayed response could lead to bad reviews from customers.   Your service of course matters too.  In general, you would want to work on getting the highest rating/review from customers.  Any negative review/ratings will certainly impact your Fab.   XYZFABS might suspend a Fab if there are many complaints and/or negative reviews.

Customers

Who are customers and benefits as XYZFABS customers?
All users are also customers when they look for services.
Customers are free to use XYZFABs to find the right Fab they want to work with.  Since we eliminate the transaction fee, the Fab can provide better service with lower cost.  This could be translated to savings to customers.  In general, the services made through this website has the best price performance ratio.  You get lower cost without sacrificing quality.
This site is geared toward B2B and C2B friendly and does not charge middle-man fees on transactions.
How do I find the right Fab?
1. Click "Find 3D Service FAB" on main page.
2. The search page will automatically load Fabs in your country.
3. You can sort the results by "review rating".
4. You can also filter Fabs by providing entries in "Services", "Materials".
5. You can also filter Fabs with keywords.  That will search keywords in Fab's description and show matching ones.
6. You can also provide zipcode in "Location", or "Get my location" to automatically populate location info.  With location info provided, the results will be limited to nearby Fabs of that location.   You can also sort the results by distance.
7. You can click any Fab's "More Details" in the result list and it will show the detailed description and review history of the Fab.  In the Fab details page, if you decide to contact this Fab, you can click "Contact this Fab" to send a message to the Fab.  The Fab will be notified about the message and you can Fab can then exchange messages back/forth.
8.  If you have hard time finding the right Fab, or if you need assistance to find Fab or you would like your job to be split among several Fabs, you can contact XYZFABS and ask for assistance.
Does XYZFABS charge customers?
No.  XYZFABS does not charge customers too.  XYZFABS also does not charge any transaction fees for any service transactions.
What material should I pick for my project?
Nowadays pretty much any materials are available for 3D manufacturing.  You can pick any materials you prefer.   You can specify materials when you search 3D Fabs.   You can ask Fab to pick the right material for you.   Keep in mind, different materials cost differently.  Make sure both you and Fab put the material selection into service contract.
Can I 3D print proprietary, confidential designs under NDA?
Yes.  We encourage customers and Fabs to sign NDA for any work done between them.  
I have a discount code, how do I use it?
Sometimes XYZFABS runs temporary promotions and provide discount code to customers.  We ask Fabs to honor our sitewide promotional discount codes.  However before siging contract with Fab, make sure the Fab does accept XYZFABS discount code and it is reflected in the contract between customer and Fab.  
How can I leave a review on a transaction?
In Fab's detailed page, as soon as you click "Contact this FAB" button to contact a Fab you are interested, a transaction record is saved between you and Fab.  As customer of this transaction, you have the right to leave a review and rating to this transaction, regardless of which stage this transaction is in.
Does XYZFABS help on dispute and/or refund?
Fabs and customers shall sign business to business contract for the service requested.  NDA etc. are also recommended before starting the service.  XYZFABS does not get involved in the contract execution and transaction between Fab and customer.  So XYZFABS does not handle any money related things between customer and Fab.  It is customer's responsibility to create and follow the business contracts between customer and Fab.
